The scandal of the "red triangle" soft-porn films on CH4 at night. CH4 actually first launching aswell for that matter.
ITV going 24hrs, staying up all night to watch the US chart show, rock show and wrestling, Hit Man & Her etc.

I remember:
Captain Scarlet
The Thunderbirds
Joe 90
UFO
All the Watch with Mother programs
Rent a Ghost
Wurzel Gummige
The Goodies
Rainbow
Randal & Hopkirk Deceased
The Avengers
Top of the Pops (every Thursday 7pm, never missed it!)
The saint with roger Moore (he never had a hair out of place)
Blue Peter...I can't belive its still on, do they still make that God awful Christmas decoration out of coat hangers? and use sticky back plastic for everything?
Maybe it's just me being nostalgic but it seems that the quality of the programing, even if the show had a low budget, was much better than today. We only had three channels but I can't remember complaining about there not being anything good on TV!

I remember that episode of The Singing Detective where the kid saw his mum getting shagged in the forest. It caused a few complaints...

I had to smile at your remark about age on "Remember When" - you could start a thread about "Lets guess how old these posters are - from what they remember"."

I remember Bill & Ben the Flower Pot Men, a bit too childish for me at the time. The Railway Children, every Sunday, wouldn't miss it for the world.

So - Roy - how old am I?

Please, do not take this as I'm "having a go" at you. I mean no disrespect at all. Just a "smiley" thing.

Patsie, as a gentleman it would be wrong of me to ask you how old you are but I bet you enjoy a good old game of lawn bowls
